While Bangkok is not the decadent city it once was breaking all the rules when it came to sex, there is still much to offer visitors and residents alike in this amazingly magical city. You won’t find women, men and children hanging around your hotel offering themselves to you, but you will find much in the area of sexual satisfaction if you know where to look. Even if you don’t know where to look, it’s easy enough to find out from people more familiar with the locale than you are. Don’t be embarrassed to ask if you can’t quite find where you want to go. Everyone is friendly and eager to make your visit all it can be.

Finding sex is not an issue if you brought along money with you. It is available in all price ranges and the majority of it is quite affordable. There are two main ways to find paid sex in Bangkok. These are known as “Go-Go” night clubs and “Body Massage” locations.

To find a girl at a Go-Go bar, you choose a girl by the number she is wearing. Following your choice, you and she will have a drink together. If you decide to take her to your hotel with you, you’ll have to haggle to arrive at a price. This is normally around 1,000 to 1,500 baht. If you want to take her out of the bar, you will be required to pay an additional 500 baht to management. Your hotel management will require another 1,000 to 1,500 baht for having a “guest” in your room for the night. The total for a night with one of these girls will run about 4,000 baht which converts to about $100.

Go-Go bars are found primarily in Patpong, Nana, and Soi Cowboy. These are three of the five main sex districts in Bangkok:

Patpong is one of the oldest and most popular of the three. Along with the Go-Go bars, there are also the sex shows you’ve probably heard so much about where the Thai women have an incredible talent for doing all sorts of skillful things with their vaginas. There is one guest friendly budget hotel close to Patpong. It is Bally’s Studio Suites Silom. It has decent sized rooms and is about a five minute walk to Patpong. This hotel is also convenient to the BTS Sky train so you can travel quickly and easily to the other sex districts.

Nana sex district has the highest number of guest friendly hotels in Bangkok. This is due to the fact that there is a wide selection of nightlife venues in the area. Along with the hundreds of beer bars and many popular nightclubs, Nana Plaza is located right across from the Nana hotel. The Nana Plaza is not a large building but it has three floors full of Go-Go bars and beautiful ladies in bikinis. Some of the more popular guest friendly hotels in this area are also budget hotels. These include the Swiss Park, Woraburi Sukhumvit, Salil Hotel and the Nana hotel. All are in walking distance to Nana Plaza.

The smallest sex district is Soi Cowboy. It consists of a Soi that is only 400 meters long but is packed with Go-Go bars as far as you can see. Since the area is almost a business district there are many more expensive business hotels to choose from. Among the few guest friendly hotels with reasonable rates are Sacha’s Hotel Uno, Admiral Suites, and Livingstone’s Lodge. If none of these work for you, keep in mind that Nana is only a 10 to 15 minute stroll and less if you travel by car.

The Body Massage locations are probably easier to find and, in many cases, better. Highly recommended is Chaophya 2. It is located on the corner of Si Ayuthaya Road at the intersection of Rathchaprarop road. It looks like a hotel.

You are met by the lady manager when you first go into this establishment. She opens her coat and shows you a necklace with a heart. You ask to the see the girls. She escorts you to a show window where you can see many girls sitting inside a room. As not all the girls do the same things, you can only choose from among certain girls. On the right side are the girls who only perform massages while the ones in the center and on the left side will do everything. The girls seated on the sofas are the best and most expensive. However, they are also quite beautiful and deemed worth the price.

When you have chosen the girl you want by her number, the manager will call her name through a microphone. You pay 2,500 baht at the counter, no questions asked, and your requested girl escorts you to a room on one of the upper floors. While the girl is filling the bathtub, the manager comes in and asks if you want anything to drink. You will pay around 110 baht for drinks for both you and the girl along with an additional 20 baht as a tip.

Once the two of you are alone, you will both undress and bathe in the tub, taking turns washing each other. When you are out of the tub, the girl will dry you with a towel and you both go to the bed. There are certain things you are allowed to do and others you are not. Condoms are required before penetration.

The Phrom Phong district has mostly oil massage parlors with the fifth consisting of Soapy Massage Parlors. The most popular ones are on Rachadapisek Road. Just as the name implies, you are started with a soapy massage and ended with a “happy ending.”

If none of these interest you, there are plenty of prostitutes to be found on the street hanging out. Nana Plaza is the best place to find the really good ones. Almost free sex is probably the closest you’re going to come to getting it at no cost. The only truly free option may be hooking up with someone in a nightclub.

Whatever reason takes you to Bangkok, you won’t be disappointed in all the city has to offer. But just be sure to stay away from children in this way. It’s a good way to end your days in a Thai prison.
